All In

Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

I've never been a gambler. I have played card games that many people wager money upon, but I have never risked financial seed in a game. I cannot consider myself an authority on games of chance, but I do have interest in the psychology behind them. One such game is Texas Hold 'Em Poker, which I have watched on television. Players often risk tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars solely on their ability to read the intentions of their opponents. The most dramatic moment in the game is when a player goes "All In", putting his entire investment in the game on the line. He may have the cards to win, or he may be bluffing. HIs fellow players must make the decision whether he has the goods or not, and play accordingly, either folding or calling him to reveal his cards.

Even if we are not gamblers, we all have moments when we must decide whether we are "All In" with God. Will we completely trust our lives to Him, or try to bluff? It may be easy to say that we trust Him, but do our actions line up with our words? We know this for certain: God holds the winning hand, and He will call. He says in Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live" God gives us the choice of life or death, blessings or curses. The decision is ours. Will we stay in game?

The good news is that God is always "All In" for us, and this is evidenced by what He says in His Word. Psalm 103:1-3 tells us "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not ALL His benefits: Who forgives ALL your iniquities, Who heals ALL your diseases" Our Heavenly Father is "All In" for our forgiveness and our physical healing. He went All In again?t Satan when he put the most valuable thing He had, His only begotten Son Jesus on the cross. The devil called, and God raised Jesus from the dead. GAME OVER! Satan realized too late that what he thought was his greatest victory was his final and permanent defeat. "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." (1 Cor 2:7-8) God never bluffs, He always holds the winning hand!

God's will for our lives is prosperity and health. 3 John 1:2  says  "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in ALL things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." He is "ALL IN" for our freedom, prosperity, health, and success. I leave you with this question. Will you be "ALL IN" for Him? "So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life." (Mark 10:29-30)

OYSTER FARMING

Floats keep the cages suspended at the top, but beneath the water’s surface, they hold thousands of growing oysters. Floating in the water column, they largely are protected from predators.

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Put two oysters on a plate, and J. Michael Stewart can tell you which one was farm-raised and which one is wild.

“There’s a huge difference,” said Stewart, the owner of the restaurant J. Michael’s. “The farmed ones are consistently the same size and always good. The wild caught, there’s so much trash mixed in.”

In addition to the size, farm-raised oysters have a deeper cup, are easier to open, grow more quickly and don’t have any gonads, which some say can ruin the flavor of the oyster in the summer months.

“In the wild, the gonads can become 40 percent of the oyster’s body mass during spawning,” said Honor Allen, the national oyster shucking champion. Because the farm-raised oysters don’t breed, “they are consistently saltier, and in that circumstance, the farm-raised oyster will taste better.”

Stewart called them the “oyster of the future,” noting he sells them in the restaurant whenever possible.

But farming oysters is still a relatively new concept for this part of the country. Reports of oyster farming go back to Ancient Rome, but Florida didn’t allow entrepreneurs to start their own farms until 2014.

Johnnie Smith, the owner of West Bay Oyster Co., was one of the first in the state to put in his paperwork. He works primarily as businessman in Alabama now, but he grew up in Bay County, shrimping with his family to earn some money. Oyster farming, he said, brings him back to something he loves — the water.

“This is relaxing for me,” he said.

His operation in West Bay is relatively small, a few dozen cages bobbing at the surface of the water. Floats keep the cages suspended at the top, but beneath the water’s surface, they hold thousands of growing oysters. Some are smaller than the fingernail of your littlest finger; others are ready to go to market.

The cages are “very labor intensive,” Smith said. Every weekend, he drives from Alabama and is out on the water by the time dawn breaks to scrape growth off the outside of the cages before the sun becomes too hot and to sort the oysters, discarding ones that died and putting like sizes with like sizes.

MORE VIDEO:
Tour of West Bay Oyster Company

Floating in the water column, his oysters largely are protected from the predators that plague wild oysters — blue crabs, stone crabs and oyster drills — but there are some things from which they can’t be protected, like fresh water.

“Too much freshwater for too long, and you lose everything,” said Smith, who dealt with that very issue after a tropical storm last year.

Still, he said, farming is far easier than tonging for oysters, an age-old practice still done in Apalachicola, where oystermen scrape the bottom to pull up blocks of oysters that then need to be chipped apart.

“I know enough about tonging to know that I don’t want to do that,” said Smith, who used to hear stories about the craft while working as a commercial scalloper.

Now in his third year farming, Smith said he’s finally at the point where he’s about to turn a profit. Startup costs are high, he said, noting he had a family friend, Justin Braden, act as a partner. And even when he does start making money, he still says “most guys doing this” keep their day jobs.

Smith views farmed oysters as “a part of the future.” He doesn’t believe tonging will be replaced, but he hopes farming takes some pressure off the wild stocks. Apalachicola, he said, where the stock collapsed amid the state’s “water wars” with Georgia and overfishing, is an example of a place that could benefit.

Joseph “Smokey” Parrish, a Franklin County commissioner and seafood seller, said nearby oyster farming — which mostly happens east of the mouth of the Apalachicola River — will help to “supplement” the area’s oyster industry but won’t ever replace it.

The farms “are not going to be able to meet the supply,” he said. “They’ll never be able to match the public bars when everything is right.”

Besides, he said, the water makes the taste, and those being grown in nearby Alligator Harbor never will have the same flavor as a true Apalachicola oyster.

In total, the Florida Department of Agriculture counts 13 submerged land aquaculture leases and 12 submerged in perpetuity leases between Pensacola and the Apalachicola River, farms that are predominantly growing oysters and hard shell clams. They could not break the data down further.

People like Smith and Stewart expect to see farm-raised oysters become more and more common.

“There are some people who say they will never try a farm-raised oyster,” said Stewart, who buys all of Smith’s oysters. “But if they do, they are going to like it. I’m going against the wind right now, but I think it will surprise a lot of people how good they are.”

Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

This past weekend a demon-controlled man ran his vehicle into a crowd protesting a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville VA, killing one and injuring several others. There is no defense for, or excuse for his actions. Earlier this summer, a man opened fire on a Republican baseball team practice, critically injuring a congressman and injuring others to a lesser degree. There is no defense for, or excuse for his actions.

Typically, the news media and the political left are using the Charlottesville incident to blame the president and advance their agenda. They were very quiet when a congressman was almost killed, and the story quickly faded from the headlines. Both life destroying attacks  were clearly carried out by individuals motivated by hatred for those with whom they disagree. The problem of political violence has been in the world for thousands of years, and is not likely to disappear anytime soon. Society struggles to deal with these events, and government seeks solutions in law and regulation. Almost everyone deplores this kind of violence, and wants it to end, yet  it will never stop until the root of the problem is understood and removed.

We must look beyond policy disagreements

and the politics of race in order to deal with individuals who feel compelled to maim and murder for their cause. What is it that really drives their actions? Since God created us in His image, our life motivation should be love, not hatred. How is it that beautiful baby boys and girls grow into monsters consumed by death and destruction? How do human minds become so dark and filled with pain that the only recourse is to destroy the lives of others?

This is not normal behavior for individuals who have received life from God Himself.

The answer is actually quite simple, and does not require a degree in psychology to grasp. As much as our Heavenly Father loves us, Satan hates us. He thrives on death, destruction, and human misery. Jesus addressed this in the Gospel of John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Stealing, killing, and destroying is the purview of Satan, ABUNDANT LIFE is the promise of Jesus.

Satan blinds and controls the minds of those who coldly deal out death and destruction. They are dominated by a cruel will which insists on  the torment of others. Paul wrote "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe." (2 Cor 4:4) Murderers and terrorists are in His control, and their violent rages cannot be stopped by law or government. That is not to say there is no hope to solve this ptoblem. In fact, there is GREAT HOPE, but not one founded in human reason. Satan can out-think and out-perform any human mind, so to fight him in the arena of reason is both perilous and pointless. If we want this violence to end, we must choose another way.

The answer to the challenge of political violence can only be found in warfare that we can win with weapons the devil doesn't have.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tells us "We do live in the world, but we do not fight in the same way the world fights. We fight with weapons that are different from those the world uses. Our weapons have power from God that can destroy the enemy’s strong places. We destroy people’s arguments and every proud thing that raises itself against the knowledge of God. We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ."

Jesus defeated Satan and every demon that works for him when He rose from the dead. Jesus is the Head of the Church, and made this statement:"I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (Matt 16:18) Christians are the Church, and we must take a stand against Satan and the demon spirits controlling those who are planning murder and mayhem. The Name of Jesus is more than enough to force the devil and his accomplices to cease their activities against our Nation. Flesh and blood is not the problem, Satan is. Remember this "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!" (1 John 4:4)

Couple Lost $1.5 Million inScam

WASHINGTON – Aug. 14, 2017 – A couple lost $1.5 million in the purchase of their dream home in Washington, D.C., because of a real estate scam that is nabbing more victims across the country.

The couple put down $200,000 on the home and waited for closing. They then received an email that appeared to be from their title company with directions to wire the remaining funds for the purchase. The couple replied to the email to double-check the instructions. When they received a reply, they proceeded to wire the remaining $1.3 million to what they thought was a legitimate bank. But when they went to sign the papers at settlement, they realized they had been scammed.

"When you have a young child, and you move into your house for the first time, and you close on that house – that should be a really special moment. Not a moment when a massive amount of money is stolen from you," Michael Nadel, the couple's attorney, told NBC News 4 in Washington. "So the whole experience has been marred."

The couple was still able to purchase the home thanks to inheritance money, but they're suing the title company and others in hopes to recover the stolen funds.

The FBI is investigating the incident and says the computer servers of the title company, Federal Title and Escrow, were likely hacked. "Federal Title's internal review has determined that no other customers were affected by this attack," a company spokesperson told the television station.

Such scams are becoming more common. The National Association of Realtors® has been issuing warnings to members about scams where hackers are breaking into the email of real estate professionals in order to provide clients with fraudulent wiring instructions for their downpayment or closing funds. Emails containing "new" wiring instructions may appear to come from the customers' agent, title representative or attorney.

Urge your clients to call first if they receive such an email. Also, they should not go by the phone number on the email but look up the number to make sure it's the correct one.

PANAMA CITY BEACH — A tax charged on hotel stays in Panama City Beach increased by 10.4 percent in June compared to the same month last year, a sign of robust tourism growth, officials said.

The bed taxes, which are charged on hotel stays and short-term rentals, are up 13.5 percent for the fiscal year, which began October 2016. Its the fifth consecutive month of double-digit increases in bed tax revenues.

With the sustained growth, PCB is on track for another record breaking year in 2017, tourism officials said.

“Everywhere you go in Panama City Beach, you see visitors and residents alike having fun and enjoying all that makes our destination so special,” Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe said in a prepared statement. “Tourism is truly the lifeblood of Bay County’s economy, and our entire community should take pride in the success we are having as a world-class, year-round vacation destination.”

God 2

Dear Beachside Family and Friends;

There are times in life when we encounter problems that seem to have no solution. We spend hours thinking and praying, trying to figure things out. After all this effort, we may find ourselves in the same place we started from, dealing with the same challenges. In times like these, we need God and His Word more than ever!

Jehoshaphat, King of Judah was a righteous man. The Bible records that he served God with all his heart, like his ancestor David. He was prosperous in every way, and God blessed the nation of Judah because of his obedience. His success in God attracted the attention of a number of neighboring nations, who allied themselves together to attack and destroy Judah. The enemies' armies were far greater in number and power than the army of Judah, and they faced an impossible situation. In the midst of this very serious problem, they made a very important decision. Jehoshaphat, whose name means "God is my Judge", made this statement to God and the nation: "O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” (2 Chr 20:12)

Instead of trying to figure everything out on their own, the nation of Judah took their eyes off the problem, and turned their eyes upon God. They stopped focusing on the challenge, and focused on God and His Word. When they did so, God granted them incredible deliverance from their enemies. They didn't even have to fight. God fought for them, and all they had to do was pick up the riches their enemies left when they destroyed each other. (2 Chr 20:24-25)

The solution for any problem can always be found in God. We need to avoid the temptation to become so focused on solving our problems that we become controlled by them. Like the nation of Judah, we must focus on God and His Word. He is bigger than any problem! When our eyes are on Him, we receive the information necessary to be victorious in any situation.

We will gather together Sunday at 9:30 AM for prayer and 10:00 AM for worship. If you are encountering challenges in life, problems that are larger than yourself, JESUS IS THE ANSWER! Join us and discover how focusing on a BIG GOD makes even the largest problems become small and powerless. As evangelist R.W. Shambach once said "You don't have any problems-all you need is faith in God!

Focus On Today

Dear Beachside Family and Friends:

Before my feet hit the floor in the morning I take time to thank God for His goodness and for giving me another day of life. Each new day brings its' own opportunities to achieve success and each day brings its' own challenges. The most important thing is to live life one day at a time, unfettered by yesterday and unafraid of tomorrow.

I can't change what happened yesterday and I cannot control the events of tomorrow. My responsibility is to live today to the fullest, and by doing so position myself for success tomorrow. Jesus said "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matt 6:34) Since tomorrow will take care of itself, I am free to focus on what needs to be done today.

Choosing not to worry about tomorrow is essential, but no less so than not brooding over yesterday. So many people choose to be prisoners of the past, trapped by failure, hurt, and rejection. When yesterday controls today, I miss out on the blessings God has in store for me now. Enjoying the benefits of the kingdom of God depends on leaving the past behind. Luke 9:62 tells us "Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

What I focus on today will determine my destination for tomorrow. If I want my life to be different tomorrow, I must choose to change today. Instead of looking at the negative circumstances that are around me, I turn my eyes to the Word of God. If I need health and healing I begin to quote the following verses out loud:

Healing Meditation

(Pro 4:20-22) My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart.22 For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.

(Psa 107:19-20) Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble,And he saveth them out of their distresses.20He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

(Psa 103:1-5) Bless the Lord O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name.2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:3 Who folrgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s

(Ex 15:26) ....I am the Lord that health thee.

(Matt 8:16-17) When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

(1 Peter 2:24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should  live unto righteousess: by whose stripes ye were healed.

(3 John 2) Beloved, I wish above all things that

thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

If I need God's intervention financially, I quote these verses out loud.

Financial Meditation

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19)

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (2 Cor 9:8)

Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, Which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. (Isa 48:17)

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good omeasure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweoth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. (2 Cor 9:6)

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,That there may be meat in mine house,And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, If I will not open you the windows of heaven, And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,And he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time iln the field, saith the Lord of hosts. (Mal 3:10-11)

Honour the Lord with thy substance, And  with the firstfruits of all thine increase:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,And thy presses shall burst out with new wine. (Pro 3:9-10)

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it. (Pro 10:22)

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do acclording to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shoalt have good success. (Josh 1:8)

I speak these verses out loud over and over again. I do this every day in order to leave the past behind and look forward to the future.

Living one day at a time is the formula for successful living. As we live our lives to the full each day, we will walk free of the past and face tomorrow with confidence of victory!

Grateful For Life

Dear Beachside and Family and Friends,

With each passing day, I grow more grateful for the life that God has given me. He has saved me and promised me eternal life in heaven. He has also made it possible for me to enjoy life here on the earth and experience His presence every day. Thanks to Hm, my life is not merely bearable, it is wonderful! When I think of all He has done for me, I want to fall on my face and worship Him, jump up-and-down and shout, or do both at the same time! God alone has the power to take someone like me, use me for His glory, and make my life truly meaningful. I am forever in awe of His goodness.

God did not place us on the earth so that we may live empty and meaningless lives. He does not expect us to simply exist and stumble through unproductive and unfulfilled lives, yet there are many, including some Christians, whose existence is sad and filled with bitterness hurt, and rejection.

Some are so unhappy they despair of living another day. They wake up without hope and go to bed in want of comfort and assurance, waking only to start the cycle over again. Eventually life becomes unbearable and they seek a way out. The American Federation for Suicide Prevention informs us that last year, over 1.2 million people attempted suicide, with just over 44,000 ending their lives: lives for which God had plans, people for whom Jesus gave His life. Why does this happen when life can be happy and blessed?

Paul wrote to the Ephesians about their lives. He said "In those days you were living apart from Christ.....You lived in this world without God and without hope." (Eph 2:12) Hope that life will get better and become meaningful and fulfilling  does not come from this world. The world system cannot provide hope. Only God can supply the hope that so many so desperately need. The spirit of death, destruction, and suicide has been at work in the world since the temptation of Eve and Adam in the garden. Ephesians 2:2  says "You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God." Satan deceives men with faise hope, encouraging them to place their trust in riches, relationships, and government, knowing that when these fail  hopelessness will drive the deceived to despair and death. People cannot save us, government cannot meet our needs, and politicians will not deliver us. Hope in this world and its' system is empty and in vain.

In spite of these things, there is Good News for those who are hopeless, seeing death as the only way out. God's Word speaks to our need for a hope that is real and lasting. 1 Peter 1:3 reads "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope, because Jesus Christ rose from the dead." Giving our lives to Jesus brings a hope that cannot die, and before which all demons of despair must flee. Every life is important to God, your life i? important to Him, and He can and will restore you to happiness, peace and rest. Jesus says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matt 11:28-29)

Give your burdens, your hurts and your despair to Jesus. He loves you, accepts you as you are, and will give you rest that will change your perspective on life. Death is not the answer: death Has Been Answered by the One who triumphed over it. Jesus died and rose again to give us life that can never be defeated and cannot be overcome by the hurts and rejections that assail us. Each one of us is loved by the Father, the Son has destroyed the power of death, and the sun will shine again in our lives. We can make the choice to be happy, confident in the knowledge that God loves us, and be grateful for everything He has done. Together we can fall on our face and worship Him, then jump up and down and shout, "O happy day, O happy day, when Jesus washed my ?ins away!"

One of the most popular television shows in the 1960s was "Dragnet". Set in Los Angeles, Sergeant Joe Friday and his partner, officer Bill Gannon, worked the community, both enforcing the law and encouraging citizens to live better lives. When interviewing witnesses to a crime, Sergeant Friday often used the phrase he made famous "just the facts ma'm, just the facts". He recognized that the pursuit of truth could only be based upon facts.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines "fact" as "something that has actual existence." A fact is something that has observable reality, such as "the sun is shining", or "it's raining". Both of these facts are not disputed because they can be easily verified. Even though facts should be verifiable, we live in a time where facts are no longer established by evidence, but upon the feelings of the observer. If someone thinks and feels that something must be factual, then their thoughts and feelings alone establish facts.

Proverbs 23:7  tells us "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."  Whatever men think about and talk about becomes established fact to them. It does not matter whether or not there is evidence to support what they think and feel, it must be fact because they think it is. When what people think is fact is not supported by evidence, it becomes impossible to arrive at the truth. In today's society, Sergeant Friday would be hard-pressed to solve any crime he was working on, because "just the facts" are not "just the facts": they are manipulated and driven by thoughts and emotions, and are no longer "just", meaning righteous and true.

Paul wrote to Timothy " ...,in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" (2 Tim 3:1-5) To see the facts of Paul's word confirmed, all that is necessary is to turn your television to CNN or other left wing media outlets and listen to what they say.

While facts are in short supply in media reporting, there is a source of reliable fact that has been in existence for thousands of years. Society has changed, but it has not. Purveyors of the news have changed, but it has not. It is the Word of God. it will always be factual and never change because its' Author never changes. He says " For I am the Lord, I change not..." (Malachi 3:6) When the insanity of politicians and media distorts the truth, there is a source of truth, peace, and stability that is an everyday refuge for the believer. It is the BIBLE!

Bible prophecy predicted the mess we are in today, and Bible prophecy establishes that God's plan for the world will yet prevail. The facts in the Word of God establish a truth that is eternal and indisputable. As Benjamin Franklin observed "I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God Governs in the affairs of men."

Reliable facts can be found in the pages of the Bible, where no "fake news" exists. In fact, there is Good News to be found by all those who read it. 2 Timothy 1:10 reveals "And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. If every politician and media personality discovered the Good News, they would be in possession of the most important fact:  “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) As sergeant Joe Friday could say "Now that's a fact ma'm, that IS a FACT!"

Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

There are many who say they search for truth and enlightenment. They tell us how important it is to discover the truth about our government leaders and their actions in the past. They say they are impartial, yet abandon even the pretext of impartiality in order to pursue a truth of their own making. Almost every day there is a new "revelation" about how the President or his family members and associates colluded with the Russian government to steal the election from Hillary Clinton. It has become a distraction that is hindering the progress of our country.

Eight months after the polls have closed and our current president inaugurated, the media, the left, and elites in Washington DC continue to pursue a "truth" of their own making. Even though there is no evidence whatsoever that voting machines were tampered with in order to change the vote, or that the president or members of his team worked with Russia to undermine the election, the media continues to chase after what they have decided to believe: that Donald Trump somehow cheated in order to prevent Mrs. Clinton from being elected.

The decision on the part of an overwhelming number of media personalities and politicians opposing the President to believe a storyline of their own creation without evidence tells me they believe in something they cannot see. In essence, they have faith that the President and his advisers are guilty, even though no evidence exists to support their belief. Their faith convinces them that somehow their desire to see the president removed from office will come to pass. This is their belief, this is the "truth" that they seek, and they will not believe or accept anything else.

In order for faith to produce results, it must be based upon absolute truth. The same media that embraces faith in their ultimate goal of destroying Donald Trump denies the only true source of faith, the God of heaven and earth. Faith must have a foundation to stand upon in order to work. If the faith of the media is not based upon God and His Word, then what is its' foundation?

Romans 10:17 tells us "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God". Faith cannot be developed and sustained without hearing the word of God. The only question for those who live by faith is this: which god are you listening to? Are you hearing the words of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, or the words of the little god of this world and its' system? The scripture says that "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. (2 Cor 4:4) Satan's insidious words infect the mind with lies which are blindly accepted as the truth.

Since faith comes by hearing the word, the more words anyone hears supporting what they believe tends to increase their faith. The more anyone speaks and talks about what they believe reinforces their faith. The media and those on the left believe their narrative about the President because that is all they have talked about, thought about, and acted upon for at least the past eight months. They are convinced what they think must be true, and have also persuaded a few millions of Americans to join their faith crusade. They continue from accusation to accusation looking for the "smoking gun" that will confirm what they believe. With each new "revelation" they experience the euphoria of validation, only to be crestfallen when the latest information does not help them achieve the goai of their faith, the end of the Trump Presidency.

The new church of "Donald Denial" has many adherents, and their faith is stirred with every new media report. They obsess over the tiniest tidbit, and ignore the fact that their faith is based upon lies and innuendo deviously doled out by THE LIAR, the god of this world, satan. Jesus said to those who denied the truth about both Him and His mission "For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44) At some point the foundation of lies supporting the new church will crumble. What then will its' worshippers do?

Will those who have invested these past months in believing a deception come to accept the truth? Jesus addressed this in Matthew 6:23 "And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!" When an individual is fully invested in believing a lie, they walk in darkness that is complete and almost insurmountable. They believe the lie is the truth, and no amount of reason or contrary proof will change their minds. This is another work of satan, the spirit of antichrist as revealed in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "He will use every kind of evil to trick those who are lost. They will die, because they refused to love the truth. If they loved the truth, they would be saved. For this reason God sends them something powerful that leads them away from the truth so they will believe a lie. So all those will be judged guilty who did not believe the truth, but enjoyed doing evil." Those who place their faith in the words of satan will ultimately be disappointed, defeated, and destroyed.

The First Amendment of our Constitution guarantees the press freedom to print and broadcast whatever they want, even if it is not true. The Constitution does not, and cannot protect them from the consequences of their words and actions. Ultimately those in media and in politics will have to give account of their communications before the throne of God. Let all who seek truth and enlightenment pray that God will grant repentance to those who are deceived, and that revival will sweep our land from sea to shining sea. I am convinced that the truth will prevail in our nation, and trust in what Jesus says in John 8:32 "...you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Truth and enlightenment can only be found in Him!
