Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

This is the last e-newsletter I will produce before the elections of 2016. Over the past several weeks, I have been laying out the reasons why we should vote based on the Word of God, not the party or personality of the candidates. If we say we are Christians, we should live as Christians and VOTE as Christians, not as Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, or Independents. When we vote, we should ask ourselves HWJV?, or "How would Jesus vote?"

When I go to the polls, I remember that Jesus goes with me, for he lives in my heart. As  Acts 17:28 says "For in him we live and move and exist...’ I could never knowingly vote for a candidate who does not defend the lives of the unborn, or who disrespects Jesus by advocating policies that are contrary to God's Word. No candidate is perfect, but there clearly are candidates who support at least some Biblical positions and those who do not. The Jesus who lives in me cannot and will not direct me to vote for candidates who advocate killing infants in the womb and forcing Christian business owners to violate their conscience and participate in same-sex marriages. If He did, He would violate His Own Word! 2 Timothy 2:12-13 tells us "If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is." Jesus cannot deny Himself - He cannot act in any way contrary to His Word.

The past eight years have seen an all-out assault against the church and biblical values. In the election of 2012, as many as 30 million Christians did note vote because they did not like the choice of candidates. Their decision to abdicate their responsibility to vote for the candidate whose positions were closest to biblical values was instrumental in allowing a continued assault on Christians over the past four years. To not vote is to allow evil to continue destroying the Christian foundations of our society. If we do not support the values of the Bible at the ballot box, we willingly participate in the decline of our culture. As the Christian statesman Edmund Burke said  "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

As we stand at a crossroads in our nation's future, what will we choose? Will we have the courage to change course and take back our country from secular progressives,  or continue to allow satan and his agents to erode our individual right to serve God as we please? The future depends on our votes. God grant us wisdom to use them wisely.  GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE AS IF THE FUTURE OF OUR NATION AND OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT - THEY DO! God bless you, and God Bless America!
