Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

2016 is quickly passing away, and as it does it will leave in its' wake a record of unprecedented turmoil. The world has been beset by political and economic upheaval, and many have been overwhelmed by fear. Jesus predicted such times in Matthew 24:6-7 "And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world." We certainly have seen theses things in 2016, yet have remained at peace, because of the Word of the Lord.

This year was declared by God as the "NO FEAR YEAR" at Beachside Fellowship. While others have been caught up in fear and dismay, we have enjoyed the comfort of the Lord and the assurance of His Word. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." When I look back at the extreme machinations of our political system, especially the times just before and after Election Day, it is understandable that some could be fearful. The world has been in crisis: the Kingdom of God has not. We have sustained ourselves  in peace and prosperity because we have chosen to FEAR NOT!

God never intended us to be ruled by fear, the antithesis of faith. Faith builds, fear destroys. Faith receives health and prosperity, fear receives sickness and poverty. Faith believes the Word of God, fear believes the word of satan. Faith is the currency of the Kingdom of God, fear is the currency of the kingdom of this world. I am so thrilled by what God has done for us during 2016, keeping us free from fear and LIVING BY FAITH!

Marsha and I are so thankful for you, our family, friends, and co-laborers in the gospel. The many victories we have shared are an eternal  testimony that faith works, and that we have continued to vanquish fear. Thank you for your love and support throughout this past year.

As we look forward to 2017, I sense a surge of power building in God's Kingdom, the release of which will shake the world. We at Beachside Fellowship have a part to play in the revival that is coming. In order to fulfill that role, we must know and understand God's Purpose for our lives. To this end, I will announce the theme for 2017 at this Sunday's service, and will anoint and pray for every family and business leader. Join us at 10:00 am January 1 for the first service of an amazing and blessed year to come. See you there!
