From 2001 to 2008, the average number of years an individual owned a home was only six. Based on findings in the National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, the number may be changing. Here are the study’s key findings:

First-time buyers plan to stay in their home for 10 years
Repeat buyers plan to hold their property for 15 years
Sellers in the survey were in their previous home for an average of 10 years

As always, my goal is to provide market information that is useful. You can count on me to help.
