Dear Beachside Family and Friends,

For the past several months, there has been violence on the streets in many cities in America.

There are many who protest their grievances with the police and those that are in authority. There are others who are paid to protest and become propagators of looting and destruction. Rallying cries are heard daily through the media "Black lives Matter". "Blue Lives Matter", and even 'All Lives Matter".

I certainly believe that all lives matter, because God demonstrated His commitment to all lives when he sent Jesus to the cross. 2 Peter 3:9 says "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent."

I am convinced all lives matter to God, and equally convinced that satan targets all lives for distraction. He is  an equal opportunity destroyer, whether his target is Black, White, Hispanic, or Asian.

Some have been quick to declare that all lives matter, but is that true across the board? There is certainly one group among us that is murdered in great numbers every day, but gets no coverage in the news media. This Holocaust is not mentioned often even among Christians. I am speaking about the murder of the unborn.

I must confess that I have had conflict over the issue of abortion and its place in politics. I have advised people not to be one issue voters when so much is at stake in every election. Sometimes a choice must be made when there is no candidate that opposes abortion. When these are the only options presented, we must still vote for the candidate that is closest to the biblical values that we hold dear. I am happy to say that this is not the case this year. There is a clear choice in the presidential election.

Hillary Clinton and her party support abortion on demand. Donald Trump, while once a supporter of abortion, saw the light several years ago and changed his position. He has promised to appoint to the Supreme Court justices who will follow the Constitution and therefore rule that indeed "all lives matter", including the lives of innocent children in the womb. There is an unambiguous choice between the two.

Every Christian has the right to vote for whomever they wish. I have been amazed over the course of the last several elections by the number of believers who have supported and voted for candidates who advocate abortion on demand. My personal opinion about the choices of others does not matter, but I do have respect for what the Lord has to say. Proverbs 24:11-12 declares "Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die; save them as they stagger to their death. Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.'

God does not excuse ignorance in the death of the innocent. I know I risk the Ira of some when I make this statement, but I am compelled to do so. To vote for a candidate who supports abortion on demand is to participate in the murder of innocent children. When a clear choice exists, we must obey the word of God, and vote for those who are opposed to the wanton murder of children as a form of birth control. All lives matter to God, even the lives of the unborn. He has a plan for them that should not be snuffed out by Satan and those who allow themselves to be used by him.

The upcoming election will be historic, with grave consequences for the Church and our Nation. I encourage you to stand with me in prayer that God will raise to office those who will submit to His direction and influence. Freedom of worship and speech are on the ballot. God grant that righteousness will prevail!
